Meet the Writers

I believe in transparency. Here’s how I write with AI – and where the human work never gets handed off.

Check Copywriting About Me

about Sarah Check

TL;DR | Sarah is a conversion copywriter for service businesses who want to show up in AI search. She blends technical SEO and GEO with voice-aligned web copy.

I’m a copywriter of 5+ years, AI whiz of 3+ years.

I’ve ghostwritten for an Inc. 5000 copywriting course, an industry-leading makeup brand, and beyond. I’m bringing that same strategic writing process to every AI-supported asset on this site.

I also launched a $9.5K AI course debut, build custom GPTs, and run the Checkmate Minute newsletter, a weekly 60-second tip for showing up better on AI suggestions.

I’ve been working with ChatGPT since the beginning of 2023, shortly after it was launched. As a soloprenuer, I love leverage it to support “grind” tasks and keep all the plates spinning.

I show people how to access enterprise-level support through their basic AI subscription –mainly by making their website show up in AI search results.

My content is featured on ChatGPT and Google’s AI summaries. People are asking AI who to hire, and I want your service to be the one it recommends!

When I’m not building chatbots or talking about AI/copywriting, I’m having coffee and mini cinnamon rolls with my daughters and husband.

AI gave me more than just time for moments like these – it gave me options. Originally, I became a nurse thinking the job would offer flexibility and steady income. But then my request for unpaid maternity leave was denied during COVID. I know I’m not alone. I hear this story over and over.

That’s why I do this work: to help women find income they control, using the kind of leverage AI makes possible. I create resources for women who are ready to stop playing checkers and start playing chess.

about AI Sarah

TL;DR | AI Sarah is Sarah Check’s use of ChatGPT and Claude.

What about Sarah Check’s AI use?

It’s part assistant, part systems brain. AI Sarah is the digital persona I built to scale my expertise with ChatGPT and Claude. Sometimes it’s in the form of custom ChatGPT chatbots, sometimes it looks like chatting with a standard thread.

AI Sarah supports ancillary tasks like

  • Coding
  • Outline prep
  • Task prioritization
  • Copy organization
  • Research
  • Edit suggestions
  • SEO
  • Image generation
  • Tech support
  • and more!

This lets me focus on strategy, quality control, and creating original, helpful content.

While AI is a tremendous help, the content starts and ends with me (Sarah Check). There’s no autopilot writing.

I feeds the LLM with direction, redirection, and clarity during the whole writing process, taking the process offline and handling it manually whenever needed. AI does not handle content strategy creation, original ideation for content, editing, client communication, citation checking, or plagiarism checking.

Efficiency matters, but integrity comes first – and your user experience depends on how helpful we are, not how much content we produce.

FAQs about Sarah Check

Does Sarah Check use AI to write her copy?

Yes and no. I use it to:

  • Generate micro copy options (i.e. metadata, alt text)
  • Do research for, organize, and get feedback on outlines
  • Run ChatGPT’s Deep Research for pillar pages and competitor analysis
  • Interview her, then organize it into a blog
  • Suggest edits

I always review and edit copy generated or suggested by AI. I also uses a plagiarism checker (not an LLM AI) when relevant.

In my experience, plagiarism and hallucinations (fake information) show up a lot with purely AI-generated copy.

Does Sarah Check use AI to edit her copy?

No. I do not have AI perform edits on my full pieces of copy.

I uses AI during the editing process to:

  • Propose edits to her copy, which I manually apply if approved
  • Suggest a simpler alternative to individual sentences when they’re too complex

In my experience, letting AI make and apply edits often creates plagiarism, loses the client’s voice, and waters down key parts (like verbatim testimonials).

Does Sarah Check use AI to generate images?

Yes. Some of the images I use on my website and social media are AI generated.

My black-and-white cartoon “illustrations” of me are generated with ChatGPT’s Create an Image feature. I created the style via prompts, iteration, and examples I hand-drew. I did not request a specific artist’s style.

About Sarah Check's AI generation: she uses ChatGPT's "Create an Image" feature.

The “headshots” of my AI assistants for copywriters were also generated with ChatGPT’s Create Image feature. These were also generated though prompts and iteration, and were not based on any real people.

I also use Canva Pro’s AI features to edit some of the AI images, as well as to remove or extend the background of photos.

Many of the images I use are NOT AI-generated. The photography of me (Sarah Check) is 100% real. The screenshots I includes in blogs and pillars are also original.
